Yotoko surge de la unión de dos artistas londinenses inmersos en la escena Broken Beat de la capital europea. La pareja formada por el reconocido productor Domu y Shifty crean unas atmósferas cercanas a la ciudad del motor, alejándose del tono jazzy que tienen sus producciones en solitario. Sirva como ejemplo de su conciliación con los sonidos detroitianos el haber firmado con el prestigioso sello Delsin, afincado en holanda, y gran embajador del sonido Detroit en Europa.
